Connecting to FileServers on macOS

Launch Connect to Server

From the Finder menu, click Go.
Click Connect to Server from Go’s drop-down menu.
Alternatively, you can also press Command+K from a Finder window to launch Connect to Server.

Connect to a SMB Share

In the Server Address field, enter smb:// followed by the server's name or address. (i.e. smb://gblon02fs05)
To add the server to your Favorite Servers list, click the ‘+’ button.
Click Connect to connect to the share.

When prompted, enter your user name and password to connect to the server. (i.e. firstname.lastname)
Click Connect to connect to the server.

Select the server volume/s that you wish to mount on your machine and click OK.
You will not be able to mount all the servers on the list, only ones you have been granted access to, please flag any access issues with the Help Desk.

Violà! Once the connection is made, the share you have access to will appear on your desktop.
